| I first met Matt when I took out a small ad in the local PennySaver looking for local musicians to play some jazz-fusion with. He was about 16 at the time and even then it was immediately obvious that he possessed the two crucial elements necessary to be a great musician: 1. He played like a motherf***er and 2. He had a generous musician's spirit. No great surprise really, when you consider he was raised by Dolores and Gary, two equally gifted musicians and two of the nicest people you'll ever meet. | A few things about Matt Beck I can tell you is he is one of the most genuine guys I have ever known. We had so much fun on our bus which was Kyle, Adam, Matt and me, we had a lot of long rides on that bus so to pass the time we played all kinds of games included one game called "BUS BALL" we had a nerf hoop and ball, Matt's bus ball name was Scooter and I was School Ya, all the guys had names, but I can say more than anything I really enjoyed my time spent with Matt, he is truly not only a great musician but a great friend and person as well. ---------Sean Guthrie (Security for Santana and Matchbox Twenty) |

| I played a show this Saturday, and as is often the case, Matt turned up just in time having just climbed off a plane, returning from a studio session in LA. When he walks in the room, I always feel an instant warmth, which is something he emanates, I think its the sincerity which is intrinsic to his being. As you know, Matt is a very talented and successful musician, yet, is always well prepared and incredibly down to earth. I have met many musicians who equate their success as some kind of affirmation of them as superior beings, Matt is refreshingly the antithesis of this.
